The ganglion cyst often grows over a sheath of tendon or joint that imbues with a fluid called synovial fluid. It is a viscous fluid which can be found inside the cavities of synovial joints. This cyst may pose an unproblematic knot on finger, hand or wrist. Occasionally, it may lead to pain and can become bigger or smaller in size in due course.

The Intersection Syndrome is an overdoing pain syndrome, which is brought by friction at the place where the first and second dorsal compartment of a wrist intersects inside the forearm. The first compartment has tendons of abduction policies and the extensor pollicis brevis while the second compartment contains the tendons of extensor carpi radialis longus and brevis.

Diagnosis and Treatment Methodology

For self-help test, ganglion cysts are often located around the radial artery region, but it may be present in other areas like the wrist dorsum. When you are assessing a cyst in the area of the radial artery, you must make sure that it is not a mass like an aneurysm in the radial artery, by checking for a pulse. Transillumination can also help you with the diagnosis of it.
